Russian medical equipment has been refurbished at the Kamchatka state medical center after a fire in the center.

The center has been undergoing a renovation since a fire on May 24 that killed eight people and destroyed the building, which was part of the Kamchatsky Regional Medical Center.

Officials said the refurbishment will continue until the end of August, according to the Russian news agency TASS.

The Russian medical system is among the world’s best and has a capacity to treat about 60,000 people.
