Vodens medical instruments and Kerrison medical appliances will join forces in the coming weeks, with the companies working together to further the development of medical products.
Kerrison will continue to work closely with Vodenes leading technology platform, Mediatek, which will help the companies accelerate the implementation of their technologies.
“Our goal is to accelerate the development and commercialization of medical equipment that can reduce the cost and the time it takes to perform medical procedures,” said Dr. Eric Crescenzi, vice president of Kerrison, in a statement.
“Together, Vodenz and Kerrigs teams will accelerate the rapid delivery of new medical products and technologies to patients.”
The company has been developing and manufacturing medical devices for over a decade.
Kerrig, the world’s largest manufacturer of medical devices, also manufactures the Mediateks Xtend technology platform and is working with VodaSurgical on a new version of its Mediatekt device.
Kerriros medical devices have been available for patients for decades, with its product lines including orthopedics, dental, and skin care.
The company, which was founded in 1998, is also the parent company of BioMedi-Sys, a startup that creates and delivers bio-based medical devices.
Vodena has a history of developing medical devices and services for patients around the world.
In 2014, it acquired a medical device startup called BioMedicos, which is developing a device for cardiac catheterization, and has been working on the bio-mechanical device that will allow the medical devices to function independently of the heart.
The deal was worth $4 billion, according to VentureBeat.
VodaSys, which also makes a heart valve and a device that allows the medical device to be connected to the medical supply chain, has been making its own medical devices since 2016.
